Rosemount Cemetery was established in 1873 and has served Columbia's African American community for more than 165 years.

Bordered by Rose Hill Cemetery, it is the final resting place of prominent citizens, including Dr. J.C. Halfacre, Will Evans, and members of the United States Colored Troops.

It remains a vital landmark of Maury County's African American history.
