IT’S TIME FOR
Essay Contest
"What America's 250th Means to Me" is the theme of the essay.
As the U.S. approaches its 250th Anniversary, we'd are asking our youth to capture what this milestone means to them by sharing their reflections, opinions, and hopes in a short essay
Contest Rules:
All entries must be written by students in grades 8-12 and without the use of artificial intelligence (AI)
Maximum number of words for grades 8-9 is 500, and grades 10-12 that maximum is raised to 1000 words.
The student must attend a Maury County School or be home schooled in Maury County
All entries must be submitted with the entry form by September 30th, 2026
Prizes will be awarded to the top three (3) essays in grades 8-9 and also in grades 10-12.
